About Us

Our Beliefs & Values

The only thing we really keep in this world are experiences. We have to give up everything else. Everything we have, finally wears out or we throw it away or loses its usefulness or zest. But experiences we keep. We at Himalaya Shelter run by this motto to provide you an experience to keep for a lifetime. The Himalayas are an asset to India and even though geographically we have studied them, we rarely understand and appreciate them and try to be one with them.

Our team of guides and mountain lovers believe in the sacredness of the Himalayas and value its biodiversity. The flora, fauna, avifauna, local culture and local recipes are as important as reaching a peak or crossing a pass. We respect nature and try our best to adapt to the changing mountain weather conditions keeping safety conditions on top priority. We are all students of nature and wish to keep learning in our attempt to travel and trek through the Himalayas. We hope to learn a lot from our fellow trekkers and also guarantee to give them our share of knowledge of the Uttarakhand Himalayas. Mountaineering is a physical sport. It is a mental exercise. But there is something that moves each one of us to a deeper level. It touches the spirit. It calls for effort, it calls for skills; it provides a frisson with fear; it inspires a communion with nature and more importantly it bonds friendships with hoops of steel. We at HIMALAYASHELTER look forward TO GET HIGH ON THE HIMALAYAS WITH YOU!
